July Minutes Meeting came to order at Mighty Mick's at 7:00 pm by Craig Ponton. Treasures report was given by Lou, we spent nothing which was good. Old business: Our ride is scheduled for this Saturday at the sportsman's club first bike out at 11:00 am also a motion was in favor of the DJ for 150.00. we went over the stops for the ride and registration will start at 10:00 am were hoping for a good turnout, door prizes will be given out at registration or tickets, the food part is all worked out anyone who would rather work instead of ride let Craig know before Saturday, if not sooner make sure you have your tickets turned in to Vic so far we've sold $3400.00 worth of tickets which is good. BJ is going to make a call to the FOP they have about 20 tickets to sell so we'll get them. There was no other old business. Under new business we talked about the ride to Camp Quality which will be Sunday August 2 ND. Terry has been kind enough to take care of the pizzas from Aurelio's again in Frankfort and dinner will be served about 5:00 pm so Hope to see you all out there this is for the kids, we will also meet in the parking lot behind White Castle 30/41 about 1:00pm so be there and bring some extra helmets if you can. we'll also be meeting up with the Hummer club. We're starting to get some more applications in but most of them are from the railroad police officers and its becoming an issue with the international, saying that the railroad police aren't real police officers unless their hired by a governmental agency, so the argument is define what a governmental agency is? Craig will continue the fight with the international. We received applications for membership from John Westmoreland (retired Merrillville P.D.) & Paul Zimmerman (retired Cedar Lake P.D.) both now with the gaming commission, motion made to accept both members, pending approval by the International, motion passed. A motion was also made to remove Duane Johnson and replace him with, Dan Paredes as the Special Honorary member of Chaplin, motion passed. A letter will be sent to Mr. Johnson informing him of this action. Next meeting will be August 18Th at Mighty Mick's at 7:00 pm.also were also planning a ride out to Starve Rock on August 16th at 9:00 am 30/41.
